26Jan2007 - We held an Australia day party at our place. The night basically consisted of Australian music on the stereo, a viewing of Kath & Kim, some (indoor) backyard cricket and a lot of Australian beer. Yes, I managed to find a bottle-shop in Scarborough that sold Crown Lager, Tooheys New, XXXX and VB! We served up some cocktail prawns (no, not shrimp), pies, beef hot-dogs with beer-marinated onions, lamingtons and a pavlova. We even had the Brits singing the Australian National Anthem to the tune of Jimmy Barnes's Working Class Man. All in all, a great night.

23Jan2007 - We got our first real snow today. It was pretty short lived but so pretty. We could be in for a white Australia Day

20Dec2006 - It's getting really cold over here now. The wind comes in off the ocean with a real chill in it. Even the Brits not from this area are feeling it. The frost is making for some interesting times in the carpark as you can see in the photos.

03Nov2006 - It's starting to get quite cold here in the north and we had our first taste of some pretty nasty weather. Check out some pics of the hail below. It's not quite snow but we're getting there.
